The Baroness Ford English Partnerships
Another Appeal for Help from The Shalom Family
Despite the well-known business links and highly lucrative commercial projects, awarded throughout England, in which English Partnerships and Crest Nicholson Plc work so closely together, the Baroness Ford of Cunninghame and the Board of Directors of English Partnerships do not appear to hold any belief in the notion, that they can "influence" Crest Nicholson in this matter?
It would also seem that The Baroness Ford of Cunninghame and the Board of directors wish to ignore or overlook the proven track record of corporate bullying, especially as it applies to this particular Houseboat Eviction, the Shalom Family and most importantly, Mr. John Callcutt CBE - the Chief Executive Officer of English Partnerships.
This Family Campaign for Social Justice respectfully asks, when is it ever "appropriate" to employ, or continue to employ, a known corporate bully?
The Shalom Family have written a letter, inviting the Baroness of Cunninghame to reconsider their original Family Appeal for help. It is reproduced below:

Dear Baroness Ford,
Re-The Shalom Family Campaign for Social Justice Appeal/ Re-Crest Nicholson Plc
Mr. John Callcutt CBE English Partnerships CEO
With reference to the above, we thank you for your letter dated 28th June 2006 albeit noted, solely addressed to Vince Shalom.
In the first instance may we kindly draw to your attention that our ‘Shalom Family Campaign for Social Justice Wales’, Family letter of appeal for help, dated 2nd May 2006, addressed to your good self and the Board of Directors of English Partnerships, was prepared by our entire Family, including Marie Shalom and our five children, Hannah 14, Naomi 13, Rachel 9, Rebekah 7 and Jessica 6.
For the benefit of doubt, Marie Louise and the children experience this misery every day. It is happening to all of them too, hence their direct involvement in preparing our Family appeal. With respect, none of us, especially the children, likes being ignored anymore than we expect you do. Accordingly, we would gratefully appreciate your sensitivity to this fact, in any further correspondence or further Family appeals. Thank you.
As a Family, we are disappointed in the overall tone of your response. It is very difficult for us to accept that English Partnerships could not possibly consider being able to bear influence in this matter. English Partnerships is indisputably closely associated with Crest Nicholson Plc in numerous, multimillion-pounds, redevelopments around England.
However, it seems that English Partnerships do have some concerns about, “knowingly” becoming “involved” with, “inappropriate activity either directly or indirectly”. We feel obliged to inform you that whether, “knowingly” or not, English Partnerships is involved.
May we kindly remind you that English Partnerships has recently provided gainful employment for a bully? As you will know, Mr. John Callcutt CBE presently serves English Partnerships in the role of Chief Executive Officer. His appointment with English Partnerships commenced on May 2nd 2006 for a fixed period of three years.
You will be aware that Mr. John Callcutt formerly served Crest Nicholson Plc as their Chief Executive Officer and he was directly involved with the corporate bullying, heavy handed intimidation and inappropriate activity, surrounding the night time grounding accident caused to our Home and the subsequent eviction of our Family and Houseboat Home from Penarth Marina in Cardiff Bay. Please see the Family Campaign website www.mvpicton.co.uk for more details.
Furthermore, you are again invited to become aware, that it was Mr. John Callcutt’s primary negligence and subsequent heavy-handed approach, in directly intervening and dealing with matters, which brought about the total eradication of our beautiful way of life, of Houseboat-Living, of 14 years.
It is some two years and eight months since our Family and Houseboat eviction was personally endorsed and overseen by John Callcutt and yet our entire Family possessions, seized during the eviction process, still remain unaccounted for.
This situation is a nightmare for our Family. It was directly caused by Mr. John Callcutt CBE, your present Chief Executive Officer and his former employer Crest Nicholson Plc.
For the benefit of doubt, we kindly reiterate. We believe that Mr. John Callcutt, English Partnerships’ Chief Executive Officer is a corporate bully. Accordingly, we invite English Partnerships to set a distance between itself and all individuals with such proven, distasteful characteristics.
Finally, we kindly ask you Baroness Ford and the Board of Directors of English Partnerships, please reconsider our Family appeal for help. Please help us in our Family Campaign for Social Justice from Crest Nicholson Plc. We seek only a ‘fair’ and ‘just’ solution. Please help us!
We look forward to hearing from you.
Kind regards,
Marie Louise and Vince Shalom
With our daughters,
Hannah, Naomi, Rachel, Rebekah and Jessica.
