National Boat Show Birmingham

Crest Nicholson Evicted Boat Family Returns A Picket

For the second year running, Vincent Shalom will again stage a one man peaceful picket at the National Boat Caravan and Outdoor show being held at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) Birmingham. The show is running from 18th -26th February 2006 and the Family intend to make representations at the show for the both weekends, 18th, 19th, 25th and 26th February respectively.

The Family feel entirely satisfied that the National Boat Show is a most appropriate event to raise awareness of their Campaign for Social Justice from Crest Nicholson Plc and others.

Apart from the many issues surrounding Crest Nicholson's active 'Corporate Social Responsibility', Security of Tenure for residential boats, the protection of fundamental Human Rights, etc., the Shalom Family's Houseboat, 'M. V. Picton', Home to their family of five children for almost 14 years, was once described as a, "caravan" by Crest Nicholson's former, Marina Operations Director, Mr. Simon Haigh.

'Caravan' or not, Crest Nicholson Plc, a property developer and house builder with a strong presence in the Birmingham and West Midlands region, orchestrated and approved the entire situation in which the Family have lost their only home, a beautiful way of life and their Family's personal private possessions, all for the sake of their corporate beauty show.

Known associations of Crest Nicholson Plc, will be exhibiting at the boat show.

Capital Bank Leisure, is ultimately owned by HBOS via Bank of Scotland. Black Horse Finance is ultimately owned by Lloyds TSB Group Plc. Both companies are represented at the National Boat Show. No doubt they will be hoping to provide finance towards, what for some will be, a second home and/or, holiday home.?
