Builders Federation (HBF) Annual Policy Conference 2010
28th April 2010 - 10.30am. The Home Builders
Federation stage their AGM and Open Council Meeting at the Churchill
Hyatt Regency Hotel London. Vince Shalom and daughters return again,
to ask for HBF help, with HBF member, Crest Nicholson, who
have a documented history of heavy handedness and bullying.
Having previously been ignored by The Royal
Society of Arts ("educating children"..., "especially
girls"..."building towards a brighter future") and The Home Builders
Federation, at their HBF AGM last year, (see below) members of the
Shalom Family return with a fresh appeal.

Dear Mr. Stewart Baseley,
(Mr. David Pretty, Mr. Philip Davies, Mr. Mike Freshney, Mr. Malcom
Harris, Mr. Mike Gaskell, Mr. Morris Homes, Mr. Andy Yallop, and Mr.
Neil Fitzsimmons,)
Home Builders Federation Member The Crest Nicholson Group
With reference to the above, please help our Family. Please do not
ignore our Family appeal.
Simply put, we kindly suggest that The Crest Nicholson Group, one of
the Home Builders Federation members, is a corporate bully,
presently lacking in terms of ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’.
With malice and forethought this company, led by Mr. John Callcutt
CBE, (Chief Executive Officer at the time) callously orchestrated
and brought about, the total destruction of our Home of 14 years,
which also lead to the whole loss of our entire personal Family
possessions.
We kindly invite you to see the fuller details of our morally, ‘just
cause’, at our Family run website at http://www.mvpicton.co.uk
Essentially, if John Callcutt and Crest Nicholson had allowed our
requests, for us to be able to fix our own home, at our expense,
even though this was after – Crest Nicholson had caused a night time
grounding accident to it, then none of this needed to have happened.
As things stand, it is a total shame to John Callcutt CBE and your
Home Builders Federation Member, Crest Nicholson.
We again kindly invite you to consider the total losses that our
Family has suffered. The loss of a perfectly decent, safe and
satisfactory Family Home of 14 years, the loss of our entire Family
possessions and the decimation of a perfectly sustainable way of
life.
You are kindly invited to ask us any questions you feel appropriate.
Furthermore, you are invited to see our full file records of the
accounts with this company. We would ask that you kindly petition
your member, the Crest Nicholson Group, to reconsider their position
in this matter.
We kindly reiterate that whilst we accept that you may not be
entirely responsible for the conduct of your members, we do believe
that you would want to be seen to ‘keep them in line’, with the very
high standards to which your organisation would seek to obtain, and
proclaim.
Thank you for your time in reading this appeal.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
Marie Louise and Vince Shalom
With our Daughters Hannah, Naomi, Rachel, Rebekah and Jessica

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
of the Royal
Society of Arts & Home Builders Federation,
The Shalom Family Campaign for Social Justice
HBF Annual Policy Conference 2009, “Building Towards A Brighter
Future”
RSA London 17th March 2009
With reference to the above, it is with much regret that our Family
feels that there is no other option than to be so forced to make
some of our own presentations today.
We kindly invite you to see the fuller details of our morally, ‘just
cause’, at our Family run website at http://www.mvpicton.co.uk
We kindly invite you to consider the total losses that our Family
has suffered. The loss of a perfectly decent, safe and satisfactory
Family Home of 14 years, the dispossession of our entire Family
possessions and the decimation of a perfectly sustainable way of
life.
We ask you to consider these matters in light of the fact that your
guest speaker today is Mr John Callcutt CBE, (fellow of the RSA) and
more importantly, formerly CEO of housebuilder Crest Nicholson Plc,
the company which brought about the wicked events that have caused
so much stress, anxiety and personal loss to our young Family.
Whilst we can try to appreciate the stated ‘aims and objectives’ of
your respective organisations such as, “reasoned enquiry” and there
again, your sharing similar values of “independence, commitment,
honesty and openness”, it is difficult for us to be able to accept
that Mr Callcutt has any platform, or forum, for public speaking,
and in particular, because of our case, that it does not reflect
poorly on your respective organisations.
You should be aware that our enquiries are many and at the highest
level of Central Government, the Prime Minister and to the Crown and
that we are aware that your organisations have a far reaching
influence and effect.
We kindly remind you that we seek only a fair and just solution to
our present ordeal and in this respect we ask you to please help us.
Please ‘nudge’ and ‘nanny’ the hearts and minds within the
homebuilding industry, not least of all, Crest Nicholson. Please
urge them to do something ‘right’ so that our Family may at last
truly start, “Building Towards A Brighter Future”.
We thank you for your time in reading this appeal. We welcome any
response.
Kind regards,
Yours sincerely,
Marie Louise and Vince Shalom

Happy New Year Crest
Nicholson Please Come Clean!
A new year 2009 has begun but the
same injustice continues. The Crest Nicholson Group Limited are
presently propped up by the financial institutions, who in turn are
supported by central Government. Here's a letter from the Shalom
Family, hoping for something to make 2009 just a little bit more
bearable.

Dear Mr.
Shearer & Mr. Stone,
Our Shalom Family Campaign for Social Justice
Happy New Year 2009 - Please Come Clean!
With
reference to the above, our whole Family would like to wish you and
the Crest Nicholson Group Ltd, a very happy new year for 2009.
Despite the recent economic downturn and the direct knock-on effect
this has had on the housing market, we hope for a speedy recovery
for all and we wish you well.
We believe we have reached a point where it is quite unrealistic,
for you gentlemen, not to be able to understand and accept our
Family’s moral claim against your organisation, and/or, those who
have, or continue to support, your group. We have lost our beautiful
dream Home of 14 years, our wonderful, fully sustainable and
freely-chosen way of life, and all our Family’s personal private
possessions have been ‘disposed of’, all because of your
organisation.
In the present economic climate we have seen a course of action
followed by some, who have supported your organisation, not for any
legal obligation imposed upon them, but for what is perceived, or
believed to be, the higher minded, ‘moral imperative’, of doing what
is ‘right’, for the whole-so-to-speak, in the wider circumstances.
We believe this is right action.
We acknowledge that presently, Crest Nicholson is advised by NM
Rothschild. We also understand that leading senior lenders to your
organisation which include HBOS, HSBC and Lloyds Bank, have together
come to your companies’ assistance in this time of crises and
uncertainty. We believe this is right action.
We also understand that the Prime Minister Mr Gordon Brown, and the
United Kingdom Government has played, and is committed to play, no
small part in trying to secure a more solid and stable future for
your group, the house building - homes construction – industry, and
the financial organisations which support you. We believe this is
right action.
Since your organisation’s totally immoral and heartless eviction of
our beautiful home from Penarth Marina in Cardiff Bay Wales, (28th
October 2003) we have witnessed the dramatic demise of what was
once, in our opinion, a highly respectable company.
We need to remind you again. Once, we had a dream. We took something
quite base and by our own efforts and with our own resources, we
prepared a safe and satisfactory Family Home for us and our
children. Your company invited our Family (from January 12th 1997)
to live aboard our own home at Penarth Marina, in Cardiff Bay, in
the shadow of Crest Nicholson’s proposed ‘Penarth Heights’, housing
redevelopment scheme. Where permitted, we always paid our mooring
and services fees, to your company, in full and on time. Where
permitted, we always maintained adequate insurance provision for our
home. It was not our fault that your organisation caused a night
time grounding accident (April 2nd 2000) to our beautiful home at
Penarth Marina. It was not our fault that your organisation thwarted
all our best efforts to mitigate the loss of that accident, which
included, preventing us from hauling-out our houseboat to the
Emergency Lifting Pad, (in situ) which would have enabled us to fix
a small leak, which had developed, in our home, directly after that
accident. It was not our fault that due to the above and your
companies’ unsympathetic and heartless approach, in deliberately
refusing to grant us necessary permissions, for us to be able to
haul-out, repair and survey our home, that we were to eventually
become, not-enabled, not-permitted, and/or, not-allowed, to pay our
mooring and services fees, or obtain adequate insurance. We believe
this is wrong action
We still believe that these events were schemed-up by the former
Chief Executive of Crest Nicholson, Mr John Callcutt CBE, the one
man who was solely responsible for enforcing health and safety in
the Crest Nicholson Group. However, it remains clear to us that
regardless of whoever decided to direct this immoral action against
our Family, our Home, our personal possessions and our way of life,
such action was fully endorsed by the whole Board of Crest Nicholson
at the time and obediently orchestrated and implemented by junior
staff.
Our direct enquiries with Crest Nicholson, always thwarted, have
left us no option but to seek satisfaction further afield. This is
not least because of the apparent further rewards and, or praise,
that Mr John Callcutt CBE and the Crest Nicholson Group, in general,
has received from a variety of sources, including, but not limited
to, The Prime Minister, The Department for Communities and Local
Government - English Partnerships (since absorbed into the Homes and
Communities Agency) and even Her Majesty The Queen.
Whatever finally happens and regardless of who may ‘step in’ to keep
an erstwhile and/or otherwise, respectable brand afloat, please
always remember this. Crest Nicholson, your organisation, sank our
dreams and decimated our personal property without any good, sound
or moral reason. It was not just our home that became grounded by
your organisations’ mistakes. This ‘morality tale’ hits rock bottom!
In what are obviously uncertain days ahead, while you remain as
company leaders, we kindly ask you and your organisation again,
Please Come Clean! Please ‘redeem’ Crest Nicholson.
The Crest Nicholson Group as we know it maybe ‘all but over’ for you
gentlemen but presently as its leaders, with the benefit of the full
knowledge and truth of the situation at your immediate disposal,
one, final and moderate act of contrition, on behalf of the company,
or even in truthfully helping others make good with their enquiries,
may make all the difference to what we seek, a ‘happy’ 2009 for our
Family.
We kindly remind you of our only aim in our Family Campaign for
Social Justice….”a fair and just solution”. Please compensate our
Family for our true and unnecessary losses to date.

computers); our humungous Family Fireside ASV Holy Bible from a dear
friend; the many various gifts and memorabilia typically accumulated
in any ordinary home of 14 years; our fellow live-aboard neighbours
and our live aboard community spirit.

John Callcutt CBE Champagne Reception
Chartered Institute of Housing Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
The Audience is captivated! The Chartered
Institute of Housing (CIH) joined with the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
to launch the first network for professionals in housing and planning. Okay,
so it's a little while ago but guess who helped in the champagne launch?
John Callcutt CBE launched the new network on 7 November 2008. See John
Callcutt CBE in action - his audience look interested too!
The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) is the professional body for
people involved in housing and communities. It is a registered charity
and not-for-profit organisation. It has a diverse and growing membership
of over 21,000 people -- both in the public and private sectors --
living and working in over 20 countries on five continents across the
world. It is supposed to exist to maximise the contribution that housing
professionals make to the wellbeing of communities, and not, as far as
we are aware, for the benefit of supporting those who would bully, the
smallest of communities - the Family. The Shalom Family Campaign for
Social Justice, believe it is a great shame, that the well being of the
liveaboard community at Penarth Marina in Cardiff Bay, Wales and their
Family's Home, way of life and personal possessions, were wiped out by
Mr. John Callcutt CBE, whilst he was Chief Executive Officer of Crest
Nicholson Plc.
Prime Minister Downing
Street Kicks Back Family Appeal
to
National Assembly for Wales
The Shalom Family's recent petition to Prime
Minister Gordon Brown has been kicked back to them.
Along with their personal Family appeal
recently submitted to Downing Street, the Shalom Family also
submitted a small selection of photographs from their Campaign for
Social Justice. These few photographs barely represent the total
injustice which has taken place at the hands of Crest Nicholson
corporate bullies.
Furthermore, in spite of the facts and in the
face of, absolute acquiescence, and /or, reward to such bullies by
Central Government, all of the photographs have been
returned, apparently for their "safe keeping"!
There is a reference that the Family may wish
to write to the National Assembly for Wales but hang-on just a
second... the Shalom Family are still waiting, some two years now,
since Downing Street previously indicated that
theywere going to write to the
National Assembly for Wales, for them
to make a reply to the Shalom Family's earlier enquiry.
Both letters and the kicked-back Family
photographs, as submitted to the Prime Minister in their Family
Appeal for Help, are reproduced below.
