John Callcutt CBE Shameless!

Family Campaigner 'Gagged' at English Partnerships' Open Meeting 2006

For educational purposes, Vince Shalom accepted English Partnerships’ (EP) most recent invitation to attend the Official English Partnerships’ Open Meeting of 2006. Held at the British Museum in London yesterday, (18th October), most regrettably, it was not quite as educational as he, and his wife and their five daughters, had hoped.

Vince was personally greeted by EP ‘charmer’, Mr. Jason Essenheim, at the outer entrance gates of the British Museum in Great Russell Street, Camden. Immediately ‘tagged’ and, ‘debagged’ and further introduced to EP ‘second charmer’, Mr. Trevor Beattie, Vince was closely escorted throughout the entire course of the days’ events, deliberately distracted from engaging with any other invited guests in attendance.

For the main event Vince was ushered to especially reserved seats, flanked on both sides by his personal minders, into a remote auditorium.  Guest Speakers and EP Board members, who were situated quite some distance away in the main event hall, were only linked to the smallish auditorium by audiovisual means.

Guest speaker at the event was the Rt. Hon. Ruth Kelly MP, Secretary of State for Communities and Local Government.

At the customary-appointed time of inviting ‘questions from the floor’, EP Chair, Baroness Margaret Ford of Cunninghame considerately invited questions from the main hall and the remote auditorium. Vince politely raised his hand continuously during this time and spoke politely of his desire to raise enquiry, despite efforts of physical restraint from one of his  minders. Nevertheless, Vince was denied the opportunity to make any open enquiry to the Baroness.

Margaret Ford of Cunninghame - Considerate

Prior to accepting an invitation to lunch at the event, a brief impromptu chat ensued between Vince and English Partnerships CEO John Callcutt CBE. Issues concerning Mr. Callcutt’s past employment history with Crest Nicholson Plc and his personal immoral conduct, (as documented to the record), in the entire orchestration of the eviction of the Shalom Family, were raised - but both men, ‘agreed to disagree', on key points in this short, frank exchange.

John Callcutt CBE CEO English Partnerships - Shameless?

Gratefully acknowledging the mostly-charming conduct of both appointed minders, Vince Shalom swiftly departed from the British Museum after lunch, in order to make delivery of a further Family Appeal to English Partnerships, at their Head Office in Buckingham Palace Road, London. The Family Appeal is reproduced below:

Dear Baroness Ford, Ladies and Gentlemen, English Partnerships,

The Shalom Family Campaign for Social Justice / Re-Crest Nicholson Plc

English Partnerships Open Meeting 2006

John Callcutt CBE CEO English Partnerships

With reference to the above, we again respectfully bring this matter to your attention and kindly refer you to our earlier letters of appeal dated, 6th April and 2nd May 2006 respectively.

For the benefit of doubt, we kindly invite you to see the full file and account of our dealing with Mr. John Callcutt CBE, former employee of Crest Nicholson Plc, and all associated correspondence between various third parties, including, (but not limited to) Crest Nicholson Marinas Limited, Quay Marinas Limited, the Cardiff Harbour Authority, The Vale of Glamorgan Council, South Wales Police, Surrey Police and the High Court Sheriff. Please contact us to arrange to see these detailed accounts.

We kindly remind you that John Callcutt CBE, presently English Partnerships’ Chief Executive Officer, acted in a most immoral fashion whilst serving as Chief Executive Officer of Crest Nicholson Plc.

We must stress again that the detail of our efforts to perform what we considered our moral duty, to repair our home, to gain insurance and also pay our mooring fees, is documented to the record. Please be aware that Crest Nicholson caused our home to become grounded in a terrifying night time accident. Likewise, the considerable efforts on the part of Mr. Callcutt and his former employer, Crest Nicholson Plc, to make sure that we could not perform our moral duty, post accident, is absolute. Their combined actions were morally wrong.

We respectfully ask that you will consider the matters before you with an honest and true conscience. We hope that you would agree that corporate bullying is shameful and should not be overlooked, or tolerated under any circumstances, especially by Central Government, and/or, those appointed by same.

We kindly urge English Partnerships to support us in our Family Campaign for Social Justice from Crest Plc and would ask that you contact them immediately via their chief Executive Officer, Mr. Stephen Stone, or their Chair, Mr. John Matthews. Both gentlemen are well aware and considering our Family Campaign. In any event we ask that you would please give this your most urgent attention based on the record and merit. Crest may be contacted at the following:-

Finally, we accept that English Partnerships will undoubtedly prosper under the direct quality of leadership in Mr. John Callcutt CBE. However, in view of the above and in the circumstances, we sincerely hope that you will support our Family Campaign for Social Justice from Crest Nicholson Plc.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Marie Louise and Vince Shalom

Footnote : Mr. Essenheim invited Vince to make his question known to him, rather than directly to the Baroness Ford of Cunninghame but was unable to immediately answer Vince’s intended question. It reads:

“In light of the most recent appointment of Mr. John Callcutt CBE as Chief Executive Officer of English Partnerships, would the Baroness please kindly inform me, my wife and our children as to whether English Partnerships has a published operating policy of, 'Anti-Bullying in The Workplace', and furthermore, would the Baroness please also kindly explain, how is it morally acceptable for English Partnerships, to continue to hold the employment position of Chief Executive Officer of English Partnerships - in favour of Mr. John Callcutt, in view of the fact that the Baroness, and English Partnerships Board of Directors, have personally been invited to investigate - the 'Shalom Family Campaign for Social Justice' allegations, directly concerning Mr. Callcutt’s past employment history, his recorded immoral conduct and recorded corporate bullying characteristics”.

The Shalom Family intend to make more formal enquiry in due course.
