John Callcutt CBE Negligent & Shalom Family Shafter Changing Places

 

Following recent reports that John Callcutt CBE, (barely in the post eight months, as Chief Executive Officer of English Partnerships) is, 'moving elsewhere', the following statement has been released to the Shalom Family, from Candice Jones of English Partnerships National Press Office.

 

"John Callcutt has been seconded to head up the Review of Housebuilding Delivery and will take up his new role from 2 January 2007. Please see the statement below.

John Callcutt

Commenting on Ruth Kelly’s announcement that John Callcutt has been seconded to head up the Review of Housebuilding Delivery, English Partnerships’ Chairman, Baroness Ford said, “We are pleased that John’s combination of skills and experience have been recognised by Government and believe that he is uniquely placed to undertake this Review, which is so important to our industry.

John’s thorough understanding of the issues facing both the private and public sectors means he will take a practical and realistic approach to the solutions needed to increase the quality and quantity of new homes.

“John has made a major contribution to English Partnerships during his time here and we are sorry that he will be leaving us.

However, we continue to have an extremely strong senior management team at English Partnerships. Chief Operating Officer, John Walker, will be appointed as interim Accounting Officer from 2 January 2007, when John Callcutt takes up his new role. John Walker is well-respected both internally and by our partners, and has the experience to lead the organisation.”
