Dear High Court Sheriff - Gentlemen,

Re: Crest Nicholson Marinas Limited
v.
Vincent Shalom and Marie Shalom

(Of the Houseboat M V Picton Penarth Marina Cardiff Bay Wales UK)

Our Family’s Personal Possessions “Disposed Of”

Please Tell Us Exactly How and Why?

In the first instance may we kindly bring to your attention that we make this enquiry ‘openly’, and to this effect it is published to our ‘Shalom Family Campaign for Social Justice Website at http://www.mvpicton.co.uk. With this in mind, you are also kindly invited to make full, truthful and accurate response.

In respect to the above and your recorded involvement in the matter we kindly refer you to the most recent letter received from your appointed solicitor, Mr. Philip Courtenay Evans of L.G. Williams and Prichard Cardiff. (Copy inserted)

We should like to inform you that, without any reasonable explanation, the above letter was received at the private-home address of the elderly parents of Mrs. Shalom. We collected that letter at the first opportunity upon our hurried - earlier than expected return from our summer holidays. Unless it was meant to cause maximum stress, anxiety and generally intimidate, we cannot understand why such a letter was sent there but essentially, the contents of that letter are devastating to our whole Family.

We very much regret that we have been advised that our personal family possessions have been “disposed of”.

It is awful enough that we have been so immorally evicted by Crest Nicholson from our own home of 14 years. Consequently, to be torn apart from our own Family possessions for over four years, yet with some hope that some of them are safe, only to be told now, that they are “disposed of”, is indeed heartbreaking. In many respects, our ‘home’ was also in our possessions, worked for – for over our lifetime.

In this further development in the matter, we believe that you must be made aware of and know certain facts, (contrary to the account presented above by Mr. Evans), of which again, we confidently state, are fully documented to the record. You are kindly invited to see the whole record between Mr. Philip Evans and/or L.G. Williams and Prichard Solicitors.

It is imperative that you are made aware that in the period between our houseboat and home contents seizure, and the latest news of disposal of our personal Family possessions, we have made polite formal written requests to Mr. Philip Evans, L.G. Williams and Prichard Solicitors and/or your good selves.

Repeated requests not to destroy, dispose of, or sell our beloved Family personal possessions.

• Requests to receive invoice for all possessions allegedly stored, (so that we may pay for continued storage costs).

• Repeated requests to know the whereabouts of our 7 Family pet goldfish.

• Request to obtain a copy of the video made by the High Court Sheriff (a standard procedure in such events) of all seized possessions, as made during the seizure operation, (to compare with the possessions allegedly being offered for release by the High Court Sheriff).

• Request for verification of all possessions allegedly being offered for release by the High Court Sheriff.

• Request for verification of all possessions allegedly left behind with our houseboat which were considered, by the High Court Sheriff, not worthy enough to be retrieved to further storage.

• Repeated requests to know the safety and security of all our personal private data as seized - whether held, destroyed, or disposed of, by the High Court Sheriff.

• Request for face to face meeting with any representative of the High Court Sheriff to establish the absolute truth surrounding the possessions actually seized by the High Court Sheriff and there again, subsequently, and/or, allegedly being held and available for collection.

WITHOUT EXCEPTION ALL OUR REQUESTS HAVE BEEN IGNORED / DENIED

We would be very grateful if you could explain to us how we could reasonably pay for any storage costs, of our Family’s possessions in your care, that we have not received an invoice for. Likewise, we would also be very grateful if you could explain to us in what way or how we could reasonably takeover full responsibility for our Family’s possessions, in your care, that we have never been able to see or verify. And yet still they have been disposed of?

We believe we have been presented with an immoral, unfair ultimatum from Her Majesty’s High Court Sheriff.

We kindly remind you gentlemen that our son, Joshua Benedict Shalom, was just two days old before he died at home, aboard our lovely houseboat-home, the ‘M V Picton’. Our ‘keepsakes’, our photos, our memorabilia, all our personal private data, (and that of others) – even a valid UK Passport, all of our beloved personal possessions, are now so contemptuously and completely “disposed of”. We believe none of this should have happened.

Indeed, for the benefit of doubt, our hearts and minds are broken with this latest news from Mr. Philip Evans. His presented account obfuscates the essential record of events. This includes but is not limited to, a one year dormant-delay, in receiving any correspondence from him. His antics have only proved to exacerbate the situation and heighten our grief.

The High Court Sheriff seized our Home and our personal possessions from Cardiff Bay, Wales. We gave written word that we were ready and willing to pay for storage costs of our possessions and we asked for an invoice. Likewise, we gave written word that we would arrange collection and we asked to see our possessions. Between them all, The High Court Sheriff, Mr. Philip Evans and Williams and Prichard Solicitors, nobody has ever once given us the opportunity to engage with either proposal.

It was once stated, (Letter from Wales and Midlands Group High Court Enforcement Officers 26th April 2004) “The Claimant Company wishes you to receive all your possessions, with the exception of the boat.” Clearly this has not happened. Our purposeful enquiries can reveal that this immoral violence was so unnecessary, and nothing, absolutely nothing, can bring those things back.

In these circumstances, and in any case, we humbly ask you to please confirm the following:

• The method by which you have disposed of our personal private possessions.

• What assurances you can provide to us that our personal private data, including one Valid UK Passport and our children’s photographs, bank details, computers and the like, are safely disposed of.

• Was the method of disposal recorded, photographed, filmed, or perhaps even videoed, as was the original seizure operation by the High Court Sheriff?

• What verifiable proof can you provide to us that you have disposed of any/all of our personal private possessions, or that you indeed had any/all, of them in storage, in the first place?

• The whereabouts and condition of Raf, Adil, Ange, Flounder, Apache, Flip and Flop, who you will recall as our Family’s pet goldfish, that you promised to “take care of”, after advising us that they, “were delivered to Penarth Marina, so that they could be properly looked after”.

We kindly request that you regard this enquiry as urgent.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Yours sincerely,

Marie Louise and Vincent Shalom
With our daughters, Hannah, Naomi, Rachel, Rebekah and Jessica
