"Europe's Biggest Corporate Responsibility Summit"

Dad Presents Family Appeal for Help to 'Ethical Corporations'

'Ethical Corporation' is a magazine which explores and advocates Corporate Social Responsibility. Vince dropped-in on their recent two day conference, at the Novohotel in London, 31st May - 1st June 2006. The conference was packed with top 'Chief Executive Officers', 'Company Board Members', 'Corporate Responsibility Directors', 'Heads of Corporate Responsibility' and 'Corporate Responsibility Managers'.

After initial introductions Vince was invited to lunch at this, '5th annual flagship European event'. Made to feel most welcome by both conference organisers and attending visitors, many also expressed that they were most sympathetic to the Shalom Family's present crisis, and appear to understand, and accept, the Family's Campaign for Social Justice from Crest Nicholson Plc.

Among a whole host of corporate responsibility issues, the conference agenda was set-out to include, "Ethical Leadership - how to communicate and embed values within your organisation".

Mr. John Callcutt, ex-boss of Crest Nicholson, (presently the new CEO of English Partnerships) clearly failed to implement such values within Crest, immediately that he personally failed, to implement health and safety in the Crest Group.

There is no doubt that his personal failing and negligence resulted in the Family's houseboat Home of 14 years becoming involved in a grounding and toppling accident, caused by Crest Nicholson, at Penarth marina. The way in which Crest Nicholson dealt with this matter, the Shaloms' extraordinary efforts to fix the leak on their Home, after this accident, and the final eradication of the Family and Home, was the subject of extra debate, at the Corporate Responsibility Summit.

The Shalom Family are calling upon Crest Chairman, Mr. John Matthews and Stephen Stone CEO, to consider the case for 'social justice' in the matter, based on the record and individual merit.

Over the two day period, Vince also took the opportunity to drop-by other familiar associations, in an effort to further highlight the Family's Campaign for a 'fair' and 'just' solution.
