Dear Mr. Walker,

English Partnerships Open Meeting 2008

16th October 2008 - The O2 London SE10

(Re-Shalom Family Campaign for Social Justice/ Please Help Us – Open Invitation)

With reference to the above, we would like to thank you and your organisation for the open invitation to the ‘English Partnerships Open Meeting 2008’. As you will know, our request to attend was made well within the cut off date for applications to be received. However, despite our best efforts to seek clarification on the suspiciously-late-despatch of our ticket, (please see copy of enclosed e-mail), we very much regret to inform you that we only received our ticket, from Helen Goddard, Head of Marketing at English Partnerships, today!

In the circumstances, we hope you will understand our disappointment and concern. You are clearly aware of our Shalom Family Campaign for Social Justice both in relation to English Partnerships’, corporate and financial relations with, ‘Crest Nicholson’, and of course, the erstwhile appointment, by English Partnerships, of, Mr John Callcutt CBE, (the previous Deputy Chair and Chief Executive Officer - of Crest Nicholson,) to the appointment of, Chief Executive, of English Partnerships.

This latest turn of events, seems all too familiar to the spectacular ‘special treatment’ your organisation met out, to our previous application to attend the English Partnerships Open Meeting of 2006, held at the British Museum in London. Please do not misunderstand us. You will be aware of the dual-personal-accompaniment, come-body-guard-reception, that Mr. Shalom received by both Mr. Beattie and Mr. Essenhigh, for the whole duration of his previous visit. Whilst their gentle, manly and very firm conduct was always polite, we still wonder if it was necessary for such special regard.

Presently, we cannot help but wonder if it would have been more honourable for English Partnerships to have simply declined our request to attend the ‘English Partnerships Open Meeting 2008, rather than create, or as it would seem to us, create an illusion or unnecessary tension about the entry ticket being despatched? Surely, Vince could have collected it at the door with Mr. Beattie and Mr. Essenhigh to escort him again?

It seems to us that English Partnerships, perhaps even Sir Bob Kerslake, of the soon to be established Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), would wish to avoid being embarrassed by our Family Campaign for Social Justice. Your organisation may be able to change name and appearances but we cannot change our circumstances.

With all due respect, our Family cannot afford your respective embarrassments. English Partnerships, with full approval from the United Kingdom Central Government, appointed a negligent, corporate bully, in the form of Crest Nicholson’s Mr John Callcutt CBE. English Partnerships continues to trade and partner with negligent Crest Nicholson.

We kindly remind you. Our Family Home of 14 years has been destroyed. Our chosen Way of Life is destroyed. Our entire personal Family possessions have been disposed of, even our 7 pet goldfish! Please just pause for a moment or two to give this some serious thought. For any moral entity, what has happened is disgusting. All this happened because of Crest Nicholson’s immoral eviction of our Family Houseboat Home, at Penarth Marina, in Cardiff Bay, Wales, on October 28th 2003.

In view of English Partnerships’ awareness of events, associations, and the closeness to which you are still associated with the perpetrators of such wicked events, we kindly make invitation that you do not remain in a place of silent acquiescence of it.

We truly regret not being able to make a more personal, face to face, presentation to you at the English Partnerships Open Meeting 2008, but we kindly make the following open invitation to you and English Partnerships.

In the interests of Corporate Social Responsibility and more wider issues of, Responsible Business Practice, and/or, moral accountability of individual and corporate enterprise, we kindly invite you to make polite, honest and conscientious approach, for a change of heart towards commensurate compensation, for our Family losses to date; from your organisation’s Government sponsor, at the Department for Communities and Local Government and of course, your lucrative business partners, the Crest Nicholson Group Limited. To this extent we humbly ask you and English Partnerships to help us.

There is no place like Home!

We look forward to hearing from you.

Kind regards,

Marie Louise and Vince Shalom.

And our daughters, Hannah, Naomi, Rachel, Rebekah, Jessica.
