Dear Gentlemen,

Crest Nicholson Plc Good Friday Appeal 2005

Houseboat Home M V Picton the Shalom Family Wales UK

We believe our Family has suffered enough.

We have done no wrong. Our five young daughters, Hannah, Naomi, Rachel, Rebekah and Jessica are quite naturally bound up in this major event of our lives, and are directly and negatively affected. How could anyone honestly expect them not to be?

Our home of 14 years is gone. With it, apart from the unique aspects of life afloat and our dedicated hard work and investment, were our life-time personal private possessions. An ambience of peace, a beautiful way of life, a safe home environment, clothes, toys, photographs, jewellery, friends, family memorabilia, a lock of hair from our dead son Joshua Benedict, who died on the Picton, just two days old, good neighbours, freshness, personal achievement awards, medals, certificates of merit, child money boxes, videos, music compact disks, music systems, personal computers, favourite books. The list and our loss are huge. To all intents and purposes, the contents of an ordinary Family Home.

Today, Good Friday, mindful of the eternal message of Easter, of forgiveness, mercy, and reconciliation, we respectfully request that you again consider our call for a fair and just solution to our personal heartbreak.

We will not labour upon past details, but would kindly invite each of you to consider how you would sincerely expect to carry on with the rest of your life, if faced with the same or similar circumstances - as we have endured.

Happy Holy Easter,
