Dear Mr. Stimson,
The Corporate Responsibility Group / Open Enquiry
PLEASE HELP US!
With reference to the above, we kindly refer to our brief telephone conversation, of earlier today, with Mr. John Fearn of the Corporate Responsibility Group.
It is approaching three years since our Family of five young children was evicted with our own Houseboat property, from Penarth Marina in Cardiff Bay South Wales. Our only Home, of 14 years, ‘PICTON’, was subsequently seized and we were made homeless. Furthermore, our Family’s entire personal possessions, which were also seized over two years ago – still remain unaccounted for!
We would be grateful if you would visit the following public internet website at http://www.mvpicton.co.uk where we hope you will find that our situation is explained more fully. Thank you.
Our reason for contacting the Corporate Responsibility Group is that we note among your members, the following corporate enterprises:
• HBOS Plc
• Lloyds TSB Group Plc
• The Legal & General Group Plc
We confirm that each of these individual companies is already aware of our plight for Social Justice from Crest Nicholson Plc.
Crest Nicholson are property developers and house builders, based in Weybridge, Surrey, England. At the time of our eviction, each of the above listed companies was an institutional investor/ listed shareholder, with Crest Plc.
It would seem that your organisation is clearly dedicated to serve the ‘Corporate Responsibility Agenda’. With this in mind and aware of the above known associations with your members and Crest Nicholson’s institutional investors, this Family respectfully requests your help – and that of the Corporate Responsibility Group. Please help us in our Family Campaign for Social Justice from Crest Nicholson Plc.
As known close associates of Crest Nicholson Plc and mindful of the very clear-cut Corporate Social Responsibility issues raised, (including ethical investments and Responsible Business Practice) we kindly ask the Corporate Responsibility Group to encourage its members, HBOS PLC, Legal & General Group Plc and Lloyds TSB Group Plc to kindly revisit and reconsider their present position in this matter.
You are kindly reminded that this is a live Campaign for Social Justice from Crest Nicholson Plc and we would appreciate your help immediately. Please help us!
If you should have any questions whatsoever, please contact us anytime.
We look forward to hearing from you.
Yours sincerely,
Vincent Shalom
Marie Louise Shalom
With our daughters,
Hannah 14, Naomi 13, Rachel 9, Rebekah 7, and Jessica 6
Further details about the Corporate Responsibility Group can be found on The Corporate Responsibility Group Website. Here, the group offers a clear understanding of Corporate Responsibility...
"Companies, no matter what shape or size, have a considerable social, environmental and economic impact on the communities in which they operate. In today’s highly competitive economy the importance of ensuring ‘positive impact’ can be crucial to both corporate reputation and business success. Many companies are placing greater emphasis on the role that they can play as ‘responsible corporate citizens’ and accept and understand the importance of adopting a social, ethical and environmentally responsible approach to business activity.
By recognising their wider responsibilities, many now accept that that they are responsible and accountable to a wide range of stakeholders – including business partners, employees, customers, suppliers, community groups and opinion formers - not just shareholders.
Corporate responsibility embraces the totality of this approach. The discipline has grown rapidly over recent years and has developed into a wide ranging practice which permeates all levels of business activity - affecting corporate governance, employee relations, supply chain and customer relationships, environmental management, community involvement as well as other key business operations."
