Bath & North East Somerset Council - Chairman's Response

"I therefore was pleased to accept the support of Crest Nicholson"

The Chairman of Bath & North East Somerset Council makes response to Shalom Family Appeal

Tut! Tut! Tut! Where is the 'pride', or 'shame', civic or personal, in that?

If we are meant to be neutral we would all be made of stone!

This letter of response from Councilor Ian Dewey, Chairman of Bath and North East Somerset Council comes at a time when Rachel Mary (aged only 10), and one of the Shalom's five daughters, has recently received a 'runner up' - gift-bag prize, from the Welsh Assembly Government. It relates to 'Anti-Bullying' week last year.

In November 2007, the Welsh Assembly Government held a schools poster competition as part of Anti-Bullying week. This was to celebrate The 'European Year of Equal Opportunities for All Schools Poster Competition 2007'.

Rachel was notified of her worthy achievement via her school Head Teacher by Melissa Dunkley, 'Equality & Human Rights Division' of The Welsh Assembly Government. We shall try to obtain a copy of the original in due course.

Well Done Rachel Mary!
